At 17:17 on October 16, 2024, with a loud bang, after 226 days, the diversion tunnel of the Steung Meteuk Level III Power Station in Cambodia was successfully connected, 132 days ahead of schedule!
The main and branch tunnels of the diversion tunnel of the Steung Meteuk Level III Power Station in Cambodia are 2058.3m in total, and are circular tunnels with a diameter of 8.2m. During the construction process, the project team always adhered to high standards and strict requirements, continuously optimized the construction plan, strengthened safety and quality control, and promptly connected with the employer, supervisor, design and other units when encountering problems, and did a good job in process control in all aspects, effectively solving various problems and risks encountered during the construction process, and finally achieving the goal of connection ahead of schedule. The tunnel is divided into two working faces, the entrance tunnel entered the cave on April 1, and the exit tunnel entered the cave on March 4. The average monthly excavation single-end footage is 145.6m, and the highest monthly excavation footage is 224.3m.
As a key control project, the early connection of the tunnel marks a phased victory for the project and lays a solid foundation for the smooth completion of subsequent projects. In the next step, the project department will continue to increase on-site management efforts, insist on the simultaneous advancement of safety, quality, and progress, and ensure the completion of the project.
